Sunu joined SA Partners as a Senior Partner with nearly 3 decades of experience in Banking and Finance. Prior to joining SA Partners, Sunu was Senior Vice President of Indonesia Eximbank (Lembaga Pembiayaan Ekspor Indonesia or abbreviated as LPEI) where he was trusted to hold various important roles in the institution, from Head of Legal Division, Head of Human Resources Division, Head of Compliance Division, Head of Risk Analysis Division,  Head of Restructuring Division, to Corporate Secretary of Indonesia Eximbank.

In his various experiences, Sunu is directly involved in handling the financing of prestigious government and private projects, both domestic and international, debt restructuring of state-owned companies (BUMN) and private entities, among others: the largest BUMN in the plantation industry, the largest BUMN in the aviation industry, the largest BUMN in the iron and steel industry, and the largest textile company group in Indonesia, as well as mergers and acquisition, including take-over plan of overseas bank (Dutch) by Indonesian bank and other un-organic growth processes.

Not only an expert in the field of financing and finance, Sunu is also involved in the core team of drafting regulations, including the Law No. 2 of 2009 concerning Lembaga Pembiayaan Ekspor Indonesia (Indonesia Eximbank), the Government Regulations concerning Basic Provisions of National Export Financing, and Implementing Regulations of Law No. 2 of 2009.

In his spare time, Sunu also wrote four legal books entitled Sindikasipedia (2024), Jalan Sukses Menjadi Legal Officer Bank (2019), Aspek Hukum Bisnis Bank Umum (2015), and Catatan Hukum Seputar Perjanjian Kredit dan Jaminan (2011).

Sunu completed his Master’s Degree in Business Law at the University of Indonesia in 2007 and completed  his Bachelor of Law  education at the University of Indonesia in 1995. Sunu has a risk management certification for Banking, level 4 in 2020 which has been updated as level 6 in 2023. Sunu is certified as an Advocate and nominated as “the most respected in-house counsel in Indonesia” by Hukumonline in 2022 for his dedication, achievements and experience.
